Robert Persaud assures systems in place to avert flooding
AGRICULTURE Minister Robert Persaud yesterday assured farmers and residents alike that all systems are in place to avert flooding during the mid-year rainy season.

Georgetown, GINA, March 25, 2008.Life is gradually returning to normalcy in the lower East Coast Demerara villages that were affected by the recent flooding caused by overtopping during the Spring Tide period while necessary assistance is still being provided by Government.
Beware the flood waters!
RESIDENTS of East Coast Demerara areas affected by flooding as a result of the overtopping caused by Spring Tides are urged to exercise caution and to keep children away from the flood waters since it has been observed that there is livestock rearing in the area.
