Sloth in dealing with some issues forces the President to step in

GUYANA news, gives several impressions. One is that our hard working President is more a one man show than he should be. This may lead him to be too impatient and dismissive of criticisms. On the other hand, it seems like except for the Ministers of Health, Social Services and Agriculture, proactive Ministers and other officials are hard to find. This fact may explain why it takes the President to address those issues that others fail or are slow to handle.

There seems to be a reluctance to hold people responsible or remove them in areas where it is clear there is poor performance. I suspect this is due to political and stability fears. The security forces are a prime example of hoping that any success is better than nothing. Unless these forces, as well as other areas are infused with new leaders and ideas, their poor image and performance will hinder security and Guyana’s development.

Finally, marginalisation seems to be the bogey man used to scare people out of their senses and cooperation in building a better attitude and prosperous Guyana.

I always believe in hiring and firing so if President Jagdeo have to do it he should begin now. Marginalisation and discrimination is an action from people i don’t think we have such an issue in Guyana as all is said who is more marginalised than those poor Indians and Ameridians in those areas like berbice essequibo and the interior where there is hardly any Jobs these people are self employed for survival.
