SEDITION accused Oliver Hinckson, who is also charged with conspiracy to commit a terrorist act, made another Court appearance yesterday but Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys again postponed his cases.

The ex-Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Lieutenant, 64, of Lot 167 Meadow Brook Gardens, Georgetown, was further remanded to prison, until June 26.

Particulars of the offences said, last January 31, he advocated terrorism and made a seditious speech to the public and news media, the purpose of which was to promote public disorder and hatred.

Hinckson yesterday also faced other joint charges with James Gibson, also an ex-soldier. They are jointly accused of having, on June 6, 2006, at an Aubrey Barker Street, South Ruimveldt house, also in the city, they had a .380 pistol, 12 rounds of matching ammunition and twenty-six 12-gauge shotgun cartridges without licences for them.

Those matters, which are proceeding in Gibson’s absence, were adjourned to June 26, as well.
