Time up for the PNC

As Guyana continues to progress inspite of acts to prevent progress, there will come a time when the AFC replaces the PNC as the Main Political Opposition.

Would this be good for Guyana or would it be bad? Well, the Democratically Elected Government of the day can work with the AFC as it is a relative new-comer and does not have the political baggage, or handicap, that the PNC have.

PNC supporters need to take heed of the words of the PNC when it says that it cannot win elections. This means the PNC is telling its supporters not to bother voting for it (the PNC) as it would be a wasted vote.

PNC supporters need to switch their votes to either the PPP or to the AFC as the PNC is politically bankrupt. There is no way forward for the PNC hence its regression to “street protests” and calling for slo’ fyah, mo’ fyah campaign leading to the Ministry of Culture being channa bombed. Similar acts were conducted during Desmond Hoyte’s slo’ fyah, mo’ fyah campaign.

The PNC wants to make a bet. This bet is that Guyana will not progress IF the PNC is sidelined.

I expect Guyana to continue to progress regardless of what the PNC does.

Time is up for the PNC. Had it listened when it was said that it needed to work with the Government to build trust, mutual respect and co-operation then it would have been in a better position to challenge the PPP at the 2006 General Elections.

The PNC backdoor entry by using “street protests” has been closed. They only way that the PNC will ever get into Government is when it does what the majority of people wants as Obama in America does.

Until such time, the PNC can continue, as it is its Democratic right, to protest in an orderly manner.

It changes NOTHING!
