Fredricks must come with something new
In response to Clive Fredricks’ letter in SN date May 21-08, “Guyanese should resist any attempt to take away the right to protest.”
You said the government and the police must stop attempting to take away the basic human rights of the people of Guyana; the people will not stand for it.
The people you are talking about are the PNCR paid protest marchers who protested illegally?
Did the PNCR-paid thugs not break through police barriers and march where they were not supposed to?
Has it ever occurred to you that these PNCR-paid thugs broke the law?
Clive, are you saying that the Government and police must allow the PNCR and its paid thugs to do whatever they want?
You said perhaps the police and the government have a very shallow memory; incidents like these only serve to strengthen the resistance of the supporters of the PNC.
Are you talking about the five killers who killed and broke out of jail and went on a killing spree where they robbed, raped and murdered innocent citizens?
Are they your PNCR strengthened resistance freedom fighters you are reminding the Government about?
You said the PNC is now more united than it ever was.
Is the PNC more united with the paid thugs who want to protest and march through Regent street?
Come on Clive, tell us why Corbin wants his paid thugs to protest and march through Regent street.
You said the PNC is built on strong foundations, and its members and supporters are proud people who are prepared to make the necessary sacrifice to bring about a new political culture in Guyana.
Clive, those who oppose the illegal actions of the PNCR and its paid thugs are a proud people too.
The majority of Guyanese are law abiding citizens and they are a proud people too.
You said the supporters of the PNCR are prepared to fight against the discrimination and corruption of the PPP/C regime.
Once again Clive, tell us, is the PPP/C discriminating against the PNCR, its supporters and you because the Government and security forces won’t allow your PNCR and it’s paid thugs to protest and march through Regent street?
Clive Fredricks you must be reminded that the Government and security forces have a right to take actions against anyone who is hell bent on breaking the laws.
So don’t go crying about PPP/C government discriminating against PNCR and its paid thugs for protesting and marching illegally.
Come with something new for us to swallow, Clive Fredricks.
