Corbin and PNCR should put Guyana first
There are always many negative fallouts from PNCR so-called ‘peaceful’ protest marches.
They cause a lot of stress and strain to citizens going about their lawful business as they are afraid of being the subject of unprovoked attacks, being molested, robbed and beaten by criminal elements who are always attracted to the PNCR protests. They use them as cover for their illegal acts, especially when the PNCR itself breaks the law, holding protest marches without police permission or take routes not in accordance with the directions of the police.
The protest marches of the PNCR seem to be calculated to distract attention from the misuse of scrutineers’ funds by the party and also to try to disrupt CARIFESTA X.
Mr. Corbin as Opposition Leader and PNCR and should concentrate on carrying out their parliamentary responsibilities for which they are being paid and provide critical support to the government which is working to mitigate the effects of rapidly rising food prices due to global factors.
The PNCR and Mr. Corbin should put Guyana first and not seek to forward a narrow political agenda.
