Elated as one can be, I have to tap myself on the shoulders for my instincts never failed me when I stated in GC letter dated April 4, 2008 “Most unforgettable song competition” that the top three finalists of the awesome “American Idol Song Competition” will be Sayesha and the two David’s. Indeed, it was so from last evening’s decision.

At times I do feel that voting is done on a popularity basis, but as the competition closes in on the final lap, voters get more serious with their decisions for it’s all about talent.

Whichever way it takes us from now, I will accept the results for we have Sayesha (The Fighter), David Cook (Originality) and the other David (Consistency) and there just couldn’t be a better line up of the top three finalists in all the years of the show.

I see all three signing contracts and will be successful.

Guyanese local artists should take a leaf out of the American Idol Competition for there is so much to gain.
