Let’s invoke patriotism

THEY threatened that they would make Carifesta unmanageable if their demands are not met, but the behaviour of a few in front of the Bank of Guyana was totally ridiculous and in poor taste. Thank god the officials who were present did not pay heed to them and the huge crowd was able to enjoy a spectacular performance.

What amazes me though is that the few elements who attempted to fight Sharma’s cause, I am quite certain, are not even related to the television station in any way! These women allowed themselves to be shamelessly used to promote the PNCR’s cause. Who knows they may have been paid as they usually are to protest a cause.

Their behaviour cannot be termed as anything but unpatriotic!

The PNCR has been handed another opportunity to join a bandwagon and not only has it jumped on, it is even controlling the way the wagon goes.

This is not about a political party and its ‘supposed’ grievances, it’s about our country and the Caribbean as Carifesta is the largest cultural activity of the region.

Guyanese do not allow yourselves to be misled for any partisan cause, be wise. The credibility of our country is at stake. Let’s invoke patriotism and expel negative behaviour.
