‘Kyte’ charged with killing his children’s mother

THE man accused of murdering his children’s mother appeared Wednesday before Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle charged with the capital offence.
Thirty-one-year-old Haslyn Hodge, called Troy and ‘Kyte’, of 43 Prospect, was not required to plead to the charge which said on April 4 last, at Kaneville, also on the East Bank Demerara, he murdered Tamesha Riddle.
The accused told the Court he is the father of two children, three and five years.
He said he is a taxi driver and confirmed that the deceased is his children’s mother.
Hodge was remanded to prison and the case will be called again on April 30.
Riddle, 22, was found dead at her home.
A post-mortem revealed that she died from possible suffocation compounded by blunt trauma.
