‘G’ DIVISION Community Policing Groups in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) have elected a new executive committee for 2008-2009.

A release, by Public Relations Officer, Mr. Rodney Persaud, said the elections took place at the recent annual general meeting (AGM) in Aurora Primary School on Essequibo Coast.

Chairman is Kishore Gobin; Vice-Chairman, Meena Seecharran; Secretary, Rajapattie Persaud; Treasurer, M.I. Habeed and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Nanram.

The nine committee members are Pooran, Showkat Alli, Omadatt Mohabir, Eric Lake, Samuel Yhap, Lennon Bess, Mohamed Sharifudeen, Radha Persaud and Clinton Fortune.

The release said also present at the AGM were Police Divisional Commander, Superintendent Rexford Johnson and Deputy Superintendent Davis.

Ninety-eight persons from the CPGs attended and the executive met for the first time after the voting Sunday afternoon.
