Mr. Corbin should provide explanation on the Buxton chicken farm
SINCE the massacre at Lusignan, the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Corbin is telling us that security measures alone would not work, and this needs to be complemented with action aimed at addressing the social and economic conditions in the community. Security measures, of course, suggested the extermination of the criminal elements, and he, apparently has concerns about that. He goes on to repeat what former leader Desmond Hoyte of the PNC was advocating, whilst spending all his time in Buxton — that there should be development needs to upgrade the infrastructure for agriculture and improve the economic well being of the citizens.
Mr. Corbin appears to be consistent in his views – but can he tell us what happened to the chicken farm he had set up in Buxton, which it is said was run by his brother? And can he say what happened when he encouraged his supporters to go back to the land and become economically settled – what he was told by his people when they refused to accept his suggestion.
Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan may be able to throw some light as to how to collect the millions of dollars.
But then we find that in response to President Jagdeo’s request that Corbin admit that the criminals are holed up in Buxton, what did Corbin tell Channel 6 on Friday night–that Jagdeo should consult with those who had interests and support of the people in those areas in Buxton where the criminals dwell.
