Kennard Memorial Phagwah horse race set for March 9
THE Kennard Memorial Turf Club will be holding its Phagwah race meet on Sunday, March 9, at its race track at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice.
Seven races are carded for the day including the one-mile C and Lower race for a first prize of $250 000.
The other races carded for the day are: the three-years-old Open with a $200 000 seven-furlong winner’s purse; the F and Lower over a distance of six furlongs for a first prize of $150 000.
The H and Lower over seven furlongs for a first prize of $100 000; the J and Lower over six furlongs for a first prize of $90 000; the I and Lower (maiden) over five furlongs for a first place $80 000 and the L and lower over five furlongs for a winning prize of $85 000.
According to information from the turf club, entries for the meet close on March 2 with the secretary at the club’s office.
Owners can also have their horses entered through Justice Cecil Kennard at the Police Complaints Authority, 39 Brickdam (Land Court Building) or through telephone contact (226-1399, 225-4818 or 623-7609) with Justice Kennard or Roopnarine Matadial (Shine) on 325-3192.
The total prize money for the race will amount to some $1.9M; there will also be trophies for the winners and the champion jockey of the day. The jockeys will compete for the Neville Sunich trophy which is being sponsored by Trophy Stall of Bourda Market.

Thank you guys somu for allowed me to make a comment , but I don’t want to make one I kindly ask if anyone can give me result on the racese in guyana. I am a racing fan but not much of up date from guyana here in New york. Thank you and I appreciated any type of reply.
