Kala Utsav, the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s Festival of Art, will be held on Sunday November 25 at 10:00 hours, at the Dharmic Sanskritik Kendra in Prashad Nagar.The Festival will allow youthful talent from various parts of the country to perform in singing, Kirtan; Classic and folk dancing; Hindi elocution, Ramayan chanting, harmonium and percussion instruments. Experienced judges will be present to assess their performances. All participants will be awarded trophies and cash prizes.

Kala Utsav is an event which is eagerly awaited. A release from the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha stated that already their praants in the different regions have held preliminaries and chosen their candidates. It emphasised that the Kala Utsav keeps varying art forms alive by bringing young people together at one forum to showcase and develop their talent.
