WINNER of the Castellani House sponsored National Water-colour Painting Competition, Josefa Tamayo was yesterday presented with a gold medal and $75,000.

Miner suffering chops from cutlass attack
TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD miner, Rennox La Rose also called ‘Macko’ is now a patient at Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), nursing wounds to his left shoulder, head and left leg.
The patient, formerly of Mabaruma, North West District, said he suffered the injuries last Friday while working at Enachu, Mazaruni.
