ALLIANCE For Change celebrates second anniversary

ALLIANCE For Change (AFC) yesterday celebrated its second anniversary as a political movement in Guyana amidst claims of achievement.

In a statement, AFC claimed its contribution to national development over that period has exceeded that of any political party in the post-Independence era.

The AFC, however, admitted that its gains are relative to those made by all Guyanese and contended that this country remains less than capable of what it can and should achieve.

The party said, despite the historic gains in changing the political landscape of Guyana, there are many miles to go before it can sleep.

“We are extremely pleased that we have achieved this milestone and thank God that we have done so with our health and strength intact,” the release stated.

It added: “There are those who will vilify us, as they are still doing. But we know what a struggle it was to launch two years ago and to start this journey and will not be discouraged by their actions.”
