Unconquerable Uprising set to close in on Chubby U-13 League
… three teams still without a point
GORDON ‘Coachman’ Braithwaite continues to rule youth football in the City as his unconquerable Uprising U-13s are on the brink of clinching the GFA/Chubby U-13 league, this morning, at the Tucville ground. A seventh consecutive victory will carry them to 21 points, with two games to spare and the championship in sight.
In perhaps their biggest challenge, if any so far, the leaders meet second-placed Fruta Conquerors in one of two opening games set for 08:15 h. Conquerors on ten points, eight less than Uprising, have only been beaten once, while winning three and drawing one in their games played so far. The other opening match will feature third-placed Alpha United, who have a similar record, and fifth position Thomas United two wins two losses.
At 09:45 h Camptown (1W, 1D, 2L) tackle a pointless Pele after four games, while fourth-paced Santos (3W, 1D), the only other unbeaten in the ten-team league, tangle with another side without a point, Renaissance.
The final game set for 11:15 h will bring together GFC (1W, 3L) and the other team yet to open their points tally after three matches, Western Tigers.
