A BIG softball best-of-three series featuring Banks DIH and Don XI will be staged under floodlights at Thirst Park next month.

The 30-over-a-side competition will be played on May 4, 6 and 11 and is being sponsored by Mike’s Pharmacy of Robb and Alexander Streets, Lacytown.

The winning team will cash in on $25 000 and the winners’ trophy, while the losing team will earn $10 000. In addition, there is a trophy and $2 000 for the most valuable player (MVP).

Round hand bowling will be applied and there will be no leg-before-wickets (lbw) decisions.

The Don XI will be led by Dan Persaud and includes Mike Singh, Ricky Deonarine and Royston Ramsarran.

The others are Rahaman Khan, Mohan Sookhoo, Ramesh Ramsaroop, Vicky Ramsaywack, Colin Greaves, Camil Khan and Richard Persaud with Gregory Smith as manager.
Matches will begin at 18:00 h.
