Georgetown, GINA, January 28, 2004

Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon at his weekly post-Cabinet Media briefing today announced that Cabinet at its Tuesday meeting continued the appointment of State Boards, Commissions and Committees.
He noted that the majority of Boards were approved and Cabinet Ministers are expected to disclose the composition to the public soon.
“The 2004 appointments will see the continuation of Government of Guyana’s commitment to appoint People’s National Congress Reform nominees to State Boards,” he added.
Dr. Luncheon added that Boards appointed previously with tenure of more than one year would not be eligible for re-appointment this year.
