US$308,622 HIV/AIDS workplace education programme

The United States Department of Labour (USDOL) is financing a US$308,622 three-year project, focusing on HIV/AIDS education in the workplace.
A Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed last October, paved the way for the project’s commencement.
The programme will be under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Securities with assistance from the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The programme will be officially launched on Thursday 26, 2004 at the Hotel Tower.
Minister of Labour, Human Services and Social Securities, Dr. Dale Bisnauth is expected to attend and give the feature address at the launching.
It is also expected that members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from the private sector and the trades union congress will attend.
