Georgetown, GINA, February 18, 2004

The Media Mash Jump Up organized by the state media is the most recent addition to the Mash agenda.
This event is coordinated by the Government Information Agency (GINA), the Guyana Chronicle (GNNL), the Guyana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and the Guyana Television (GTV) Broadcasting Corporation.
All other media houses are invited to the event.
It will feature a number of calypso, soca and road march artistes. A number of designers will also feature their Mash designs at this event.
Other performances will come from Candace Field, Henry Rodney, Ashley John, Wilbert Levans, Adrian Dutchin, Neaz Subhan, David Williams, Courtney Noel and Charmaine Blackman.
The delegates for the Miss Mash International Pageant will also make an appearance.
This event will be televised live on GTV and broadcast live on GBC.
Organizers of the event said they thought this as a good opportunity to bring the staff together to enjoy Guyana’s 34th Republic anniversary.
If this first event is successful, the organizers will consider hosting it as an annual event.
Music will be supplied by Mischievous Guys. The event begins at 18:30hrs and admission is free.
