The judging criteria are set for the Mashramani Adult Calypso competitions and the judges’ decision is final.
Calypsonians will be judged in three categories, Lyrics 30 points; melody 30 points; rendition 30 points and presentation; 10 points. Under Lyrics, the judges will be looking for topic, composition and construction.
In Melody, they will look for originality, construction and compatibility, while for rendition and presentation, they will pay special attention to diction, intonation, attire and showmanship.
