Georgetown, GINA, February 6, 2004

Region Seven will today host its children costume and float parade around Bartica.
The Region’s Children’s Mash competition in calypso, dance and physical display was held on January 25.
All Regions have outlined a plan of activities for Mash 2004.
Region Seven is no exception. This year, the Region’s events are bigger, as it has been selected to host the Adult Calypso finals set for February 20.
Region Seven launched Mash 2004 in January at the Stelling Square.
Other activities for the month include a decorated illuminated buildings competition from February 2 to 24, a walk-a-ton, road race and cycling competition, a bird whistling competition and a Float Parade and Mash Fest.
The hoisting of the Golden Arrowhead to celebrate the Republic anniversary will be staged on February 22, at the Regatta Pavilion.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Manzoor Nadir will be at the flag raising.
