Regional children’s Mashramani competitions begin today

Georgetown, GINA, February 3, 2004

The annual children competitions for Mash 2004, for the Georgetown District and Region Four began today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Complex and St. Paul’s Primary School respectively.
The Calypso and dramatic poetry competition began in Georgetown and the Dance and physical display began in Region Four.
These competitions run until Friday, February 6 in both areas. Others to come include the masquerade, costume and physical display competitions.
Regions One, Two, Five, Six, Seven and Ten will also launch their competitions this week.
Region Three held their competitions last week at the Uitvlugt Community Centre Ground.
A number of schools will take part in these competitions. These include the Mabaruma Primary, Grove Primary, and Bushlot Secondary.
The Anna Regina Community Centre Ground, the National Park, the Port Mourant Community Centre Ground, the Bartica Regatta Pavilion and the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground are the other locations.
The final competition will be held in Georgetown from February 18 to 20.
