PRESIDENT SIGNS ORDER WHICH ALLOWS FOR SURINAMESE UNIVERSITY GRADUATES TO WORK OR SETTLE IN GUYANA

His Excellency, President Bharrat Jagdeo today (June 19, 2003) signed the Order made under the Immigration Act (Cap. 14:02) which now provides graduates of the University of Suriname the same conditions as extended to University graduates of other CARICOM States.

According to the Order signed by the President, the University graduates must satisfy the relevant immigration requirements and produce evidence that he/she is a national of Suriname.

This Order would now allow graduates of the University of Suriname to work or settle in Guyana.
